An interesting day today where the weather was not relly making its mind up at all. There was definite wave influence to the north while we were on the grid and then the cloudbase took forever to go above 2300ft. Eventually it did and the grid was launched into what was an improving sky. There were some early landouts when they did not manage to connect with the weather. The pilot of R2 was heard to say that he was the fastest glider in the sky ....... until he landed!
A lot of finishers managed to get back before the sky shut off and then some unfortunately didn't quite make it back to the airfield as the sky started to die in the early evening. There were some good races to the finish and some interesting stories are now being told in the bar.
The provisional scores are up in the bar. Looking forward to doing it all again tomorrow!
